Someday a newly diagnosed person will no longer have to spend as much time explaining lupus as they do fighting it, but this only happens if we do something to make it happen. We can empower. We can educate. And we can change the landscape of lupus for generations to come. Together, we can make someday happen today.
She had all but given up on ever learning what was wrong with her until she met the right Rhumatologist that connected the dots and that is when she first heard the word lupus. After confirmation testing she finally got a diagnosis 50 years in the making.
My lupus story started as a young child when my Aunt Margaret was diagnosed with Lupus. I now have lupus myself and my goal is to increase awareness of this disease.
We are honored to join Columbia River PUD in celebrating the accomplishments of Taryn Miller who recently was named a Community Hero.
This month, we want to thank Laura Ng for her continued commitment to the Walk To End Lupus Now and celebrate her as she takes on a new leadership role for the 2018 event. Congratulations Laura!
